My Thoughts On Comments

How Brady, Goodell Could reach a Settlement in Deflategate Case
The above comment is one example of a comment that not only lacks credibility, but also shows high bias to the subject. The writer of the comment seems to be showing signs of fear or anxiety towards the subject because he clearly does not like Tom Brady or the team he plays for at the current moment. I feel as if this commentator has no true beliefs about Tom Brady that would allow him to make his comment coherent and credible to the article. This commentator is lacking credibility because they are lacking any sort of valuable information that would support what the article is about. As well, it is highly biased.

TBrady. How Brady, Goodell Could reach a Settlement in Deflategate Case
This comment has little credibility for the article, this is due to the fact that, while it has more information rather than bias, it still continues to show a high bias to Tom Brady and will not further the discussion. The commentator is showing fear of the subject, Tom Brady, and has a biased opinion on what needs to be done. I feel as if the writer believes in swift unclear justice. This is probably due to clouded judgement. For all the reasons stated above, I believed thats why the comment is not credible.

Idlebidle. How Brady, Goodell Could Reach a Settlement in Deflategate Case

The above comment is credible. This is due the fact that the writer presents credible evidence as to why what they believe is true ad can help support themselves on the online feed. They believe in the correct way of dealing with subject matter. They have nothing but admiration for the subject matter and would like nothing more than to further it.

PatsWinAgain201. How Brady, Goodell Could Reach a Settlement in Deflategate Case
This comment is also very credible. He shows a clear reason as to why his opinion is correct and why he should be taken seriously. They list past times where stuff like this has happened before, where they can see if theres a pattern to the incidences or etc.

UPDATE:
After reading both Chloe's and Landon's  thoughts on comments, I was able to feel more comfortable about my own reactions.  I was also able to conclude that reactions to rude comments are very important so that the general reader can form their own opinions and reactions based solely off information rather than that of an angry online commentator.

My Controvery

Delessio,Joe. A Guide to the Controversies of Super Bowl XLIX

The controversy that has managed to stay in the news cycle the most, from what I have seen, is all the conspiracies around the most recent Superbowl. The article from New York Magazine lists and describes every issue that surrounded the end of the most recent football season.  The most popular one is "Deflategate." This is the issue of where the footballs were found to be deflated below standards set by the NFL. It is believed that it was orchestrated by Tom Brady. The investigation is still on going. I am interested in this because these stories have been circulating for a very long time now in the scheme of modern news and they don't seem to be going away. I feel that these stories and "issues" are being over run on the news and over thought. Theres no need to over analyze these stories anymore.

Calendar Reflection

Being a college student, Time Management is incredibly important. Thus, my weekly calendar from Professor Bottai, is an incredibly helpful tool to evaluate what times i can my homework for his class.

On my calendar, I have deduced that the best times to complete homework and studying for this class are both before my 12 PM classes on Mondays and Wednesdays and the hour and a half I have after my english section on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Seeing as my section is in the Integrated Learning Center, it only seems reasonable to go to the library directly after class to complete work in a focused environment. Through this calendar I know I have more than enough time to complete the base amount of time to be successful in this class.

It is at the above listed times that I plan to go into a quiet area of the library with my laptop and complete all work that I can during that time. How will you spend your time between classes?

REFLECTION:

As I looked onto Chloe and Michael's views on the calendar and viewpoint on college time management, i have further realized the importance of balance. It is important to plan out what you can and cant do at certain times so that you can find your path to success in a way that will be fun and memorable rather than painful and dull. It is through planners and calendars that we are able to physically see what we can or cant do. I know feel as if college will be way more time consuming than previously thought, but I am going to give it my best shot.

My Writing Process

On my first blog today, I will be discussing what type of writer I am personally. Writing styles are unique to every person. Through this you, the reader, will start the process of watching me grow as a writer by seeing what base writing identity is.
Ede, Lisa. "Work in Progress: A Guide to Writing and Revising"

  • What Type of writer do you consider your self to be?
I personally view my self as a heavy revisor type of writer. As a young adult belonging to the millennial generation, my thoughts flow easier as I start to type/write. It is after I set down all my ideas in a somewhat coherent way, that I go back and revise my work to the point of complete coherence and easy understanding to you, the reader.

  • Does your writing process include several of the above approaches? If so, which one?
I feel that I relate to two of the writing approaches listed in 3.2 "Discovering Your Writing Process." As stated above in my first answer, I am a heavy revisor type of writer. Along with that, I find my self a heavy procrastinator as well. In a way, it is almost contradictory in the sense that most revisor's get the piece done early so they have more type to revise later on. What I should add also is that these two parts of my writing style do often cause my late night stress, with relieving success.

  • Does your writing process seem to be successful?  What are the strengths and weaknesses of your approach?
My writing process is often successful, but it does not come with out high stress during the process. I admit to my faulty writing process, but do not deny its successful tendencies after the fact. Its strengths far exceed the weaknesses. As strengths go, I can allow myself to view ideas in front of me and then evaluate if they are good enough to keep or to invest more time on. For a weakness, my procrastination will often sometimes make me look over some important grammatical errors or holes in my thought process.

  • Do you think it would be beneficial for you to try a different approach? Why or why not?
Change is not always good. I feel that if something isn't broken or lacking in quality, don't replace it. I'm perfectly aware of the advantages that some of the other writing styles have over mine own, yet I prefer my style over others due to success with it in my immediate past experiences.

It is through the questions and their answers above that I relay my personal writing habits to you. Here, you learned what I do from my side of the computer screen. As I sign off, I would like you to think about how you would characterize yourself as a writer and if it works for you or should it be changed.

REFLECTION:

As I looked around my fellow classmates blogs, I found that many are like me. Fellow students such as Hallye and Victoria This being in the sense that they like to let their ideas flow out and then go back to revise them later. As well at the same time, there are many people out there who are heavy planners and cant understand how people don't plan out there papers before hand. It is through looking over these pieces that I have concluded that it wouldn't hurt to try planning before hand to see if I get less stress and less work after the first draft. I am going to see where this new process will take me.
